City and Country scope, sources, and limits
This page separates stable identity projection from bundled editorial fields. It documents what the generators can safely claim and what remains provisional.
City: 130 source rows, 129 distinct places
The bundled file contains 130 rows. Bombay duplicates Mumbai at the same coordinates and is excluded. Non-English pools require an explicit exact-locale city name; missing prose is omitted rather than replaced with English.
Country: 197 product entries
The scope is 193 UN members plus the Holy See, the State of Palestine, Taiwan, and Kosovo. Kosovo uses project code XK, not an officially assigned ISO 3166-1 code. This scope is not a diplomatic-recognition claim.
Name projection and licensing
Pinned city and capital labels were derived from Wikidata structured data under CC0 and supplemented by explicit project-maintained exonym corrections. Common country, currency, and language labels use the runtime’s CLDR-backed Intl APIs. The country panel does not claim a separately reviewed official-name field. CLDR data is covered by the Unicode license.
Generated and provisional fields
Long-form City and Country prose began as generated translation in May 2026. There is no complete per-item native-editor or source ledger. City hides missing non-English fields. Country population, culture, national-dish, and travel fields remain provisional and are not release-grade authority.
Maps
Map tiles are loaded remotely from OpenStreetMap and attributed below the embed. A nine-second timeout provides retry without blocking the generated entity.
