Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-04-28

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website at https://randomhub.io and the random generator tools made available on it (collectively, the “Service”), provided by RandomHub (“RandomHub”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1

The Service

RandomHub provides browser-based random generators (words, numbers, names, groups, animals, cities, jobs, and similar utility tools). The Service is offered free of charge and does not require an account.

2

License to use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, educational, or commercial purposes. You may use the outputs the generators produce (e.g. a generated name, number, or city) for any lawful purpose, including in commercial work, without attribution.

3

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the Service, its infrastructure, or other users (including via denial-of-service attacks, automated scraping at high volume, or vulnerability probing without authorization).
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service except to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law.
  • Misrepresent generated results as authoritative facts (for example, presenting a randomly generated city description as definitive geographic data).
  • Use the Service to generate or distribute content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, defamatory, or that infringes the rights of others.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service itself (as opposed to the generated outputs).

We may rate-limit, block, or terminate access for any user that we believe is misusing the Service.

4

Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code, text, graphics, and trademarks, is owned by RandomHub or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the Service to you.

The data sources used by some generators (for example city information, animal lists, Pokémon data) may be owned by their respective rights holders. Where that is the case, your use of those outputs must comply with the original source’s licensing terms. Pokémon is a trademark of Nintendo, Game Freak, and The Pokémon Company; RandomHub is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by them.

5

No warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RandomHub disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. The generated outputs are provided as random prompts and decision aids; they should not be relied on as authoritative facts, professional advice, or fair selection mechanisms in regulated contexts (for example official lotteries, legal proceedings, or medical decisions).

6

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall RandomHub be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed USD 50, or the maximum amount allowed by applicable law if that is lower.

7

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RandomHub from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law.

8

Third-party links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites (for example the random website launcher). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability. You access third-party sites at your own risk.

9

Modifications

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may also restrict or terminate your access to the Service at any time, including for violation of these Terms. Sections 4–7 and 11–12 survive termination.

11

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which RandomHub is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. To the extent permitted by law, you and RandomHub agree to attempt informal resolution of any dispute by contacting hello@randomhub.io first. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence are not affected by this clause.
