Animal generator scope and sources
The ordinary-user pool starts from a RandomHub editorial allowlist of 90 familiar animal identities. This locale currently exposes 90 unique common names after exact-locale availability and visible-name de-duplication.
Names and taxonomy
Common names come from a pinned Wikidata-derived snapshot plus project-maintained RandomHub overrides. Wikidata structured data is published under CC0. Scientific taxon and rank are shown as secondary context; a common name may refer to a species, genus, family, or another taxonomic rank.
Images and display policy
The pinned Commons metadata snapshot approves 24 remote files reported as Public domain or CC0. Other cards use emoji instead of attribution-requiring images. Every displayed photo links to its Commons file page.
